CNC Machining FAQ

Common questions about CNC quotes

What should I send for the fastest quote?

A 3D CAD file plus a 2D drawing marking critical dimensions, tolerances, threads, surface finish, and material grade.

Can prototypes and batches use the same supplier?

Yes. Validate machined samples first, then move to low-volume or batch production once the design is stable.

How are tolerances handled?

Fit and function dimensions are reviewed during DFM. Calling out only the critical tolerances keeps machining practical and cost effective.

CNC RFQ
